TCA - Academic Excellence in a Christ-Centered Environment

The Christian Academy is an independent, college preparatory school whose purpose is to develop children and youth in their spiritual and education life.

The primary purpose of The Christian Academy is to work togehter with the parents to fulfill God's mandate of providing a program of academics and life's training to our children (Deuteronomy 6:5-7; Proverbs 22:6). Each child receives a sound and thorough education in a secure, warm, personal, and disciplined Christian environment. We strive to provide a safe and healthy environment where ther are opportunities for both student and parent involvement. All our lessons and activities are tailored to meet the developmental age of each child and their unique needs. It is our goal to provide all the tools necessary to help the student grow as Jesus did "in wisdom and stature in favor with God and man."

One Reason for Christian Education

The National Assessment of Education Progress is a nationally representative and continuing assessment of what America's students know and can do in various subject areas. For over three decades, assessments have been conducted periodically in reading, mathematics, science, writing, history, geography, and other subjects.The result of a recent study revealed the following:

"In grades 4 and 8 for both reading and mathematics, students in private schools achieved at higher evels that students in public schools. The average difference in school means ranged from amost 8 points for grade 4 mathematics, to about 18 points for grade 8 in reading."
